More are expected to emigrate in 2016. In a story on brain drain titled, \u201cGerman talent is leaving the country in droves,\u201d <em>Die Welt<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.welt.de\/politik\/deutschland\/article138249483\/Deutschlands-Talente-verlassen-in-Scharen-das-Land.html\" target=\"_blank\">reported<\/a> that more than 1.5 million Germans, many of them highly educated, left Germany during the past decade.<\/p>\n<p>The statistics do not give a reason why Germans are emigrating, but anecdotal evidence indicates that many are waking up to the true cost \u2014 financial, social and cultural \u2014 of Chancellor Angela Merkel\u2019s decision to allow more than one million mostly Muslim migrants to enter the country in 2015. At least 300,000 more migrants are expected to arrive in Germany in 2016, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tagesschau.de\/inland\/weise-erwartet-bis-zu-300000-fluechtlinge-101.html\" target=\"_blank\">according<\/a> to Frank-J\u00fcrgen Weise, the head of the country\u2019s migration office, BAMF.<\/p>\n<p>Mass migration has \u2014 among many other problems \u2014 contributed to a growing sense of insecurity in Germany, which is facing a spike in migrant crime, including an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gatestoneinstitute.org\/8663\/germany-migrants-rape\" target=\"_blank\">epidemic<\/a> of rapes and sexual assaults. Mass migration is also accelerating the Islamization of Germany.
