This plan envisions an independent Palestinian state alongside the state of Israel, with both states sharing Jerusalem as their capital.<\/p>\n<p>U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken has called for a \u201cclear, credible, time-bound path to the establishment of a Palestinian state.\u201d Germany\u2019s foreign minister, Annalena Baerbock, said the creation of a Palestinian state is the \u201conly solution\u201d to the conflict.
